Why Mark Zuckerberg’s view for the future world is right
The world is headed to an VR/AR future, and the use cases could be life changing.
According to Meta’s CEO, virtual and augmented reality are the future, and he believes there is little debate on that.
During his recent appearance on the Joe Rogan Podcast, Mark Zuckerberg discussed new projects that his company Meta was working on, focusing on the next iteration of the Quest virtual reality headset and their recent collaboration with Ray-Ban in social sharing glasses.
The two went down a list of different use cases for the technology and commentated on Meta’s all-in approach going forward in the virtual world. Zuckerberg has been critiqued on his love of the “metaverse” and has been jokingly compared to an extraterrestrial for seeming out of touch with reality and on his opinions of how humanity interacts. But after this most recent conversation, I agree more with the mission he is driving and how the future certainly needs a more virtual world.
The first interesting part that Mark and Joe discussed, was the use case of augmented reality (AR) replacing objects in the physical world.
